Gritt Named to the 2026 “50 by 2050” List

We’re proud to share that Gritt has been named to the 2026 “50 by 2050” list from Congruent Ventures and Silicon Valley Bank.

The annual list recognizes 50 high-growth companies with the potential to drive meaningful and profitable carbon reduction by 2050. For Gritt, the recognition reflects a conviction that has guided us from the beginning: humanity’s ambitions depend on our ability to build in the physical world.

The energy transition will require an extraordinary amount of new infrastructure. But construction is already constrained by demanding working conditions, skilled labor shortages, unpredictable environments, and tools that have not fundamentally changed in decades. Our (in)ability to build at scale is already one of our greatest barriers to progress.

Gritt is developing intelligent systems to help close that gap.

Our technology combines AI, robotics, and data from real construction sites to operate safely and reliably in chaotic environments. We are starting with utility-scale solar, where our systems are already helping crews move and install millions of heavy solar modules in the field. The goal is to make difficult work safer and project delivery more predictable while expanding what construction teams can accomplish.

But solar is only the beginning.

Construction presents some of the hardest challenges in physical AI. Terrain shifts, weather and lighting change, and machines sink, tilt, and encounter conditions that cannot be fully anticipated in a lab. Even the worksite evolves as machines and materials move, trenches open, and progress is made.

Solving these challenges requires intelligence that can learn from the field, adapt across tasks, and work with equipment that is already proven at scale. That is what we are building at Gritt: a foundation for intelligent machines that can eventually support many types of work across many kinds of large-scale infrastructure.

Being named to the “50 by 2050” list is an exciting milestone and a reminder of the scale of the work ahead. We’re grateful to Congruent Ventures and Silicon Valley Bank for recognizing Gritt alongside a remarkable group of companies tackling some of the world’s hardest problems.
